What inspired you to establish RAW Hair & Co., and how has the salon evolved since its inception?

“I wanted to create a platform where my team could truly thrive. After many years as a hair artist, I noticed gaps in the industry—especially around empowerment through knowledge. My vision was to build a space filled with passionate experts who understand the power of continuous learning. I also wanted to ensure RAW Hair & Co. became a climate-conscious salon, leading the way in sustainability.”

How do you balance your roles as both a founder and a color specialist at RAW Hair & Co.?

“It can be challenging to wear so many hats, but I’m always focused on giving my best to my clients, team, and the business. I believe in being ‘blessed to be a blessing,’ and none of this would be possible without my incredible team. They’re everything to me.”

What drives your passion for hair artistry, and how do you stay inspired and innovative in your work?

“Travel has always been a huge source of inspiration for me. Every time I visit a new place, I find myself drawing inspiration from nature, cultures, and fashion trends. It refreshes my creativity and helps me bring innovative ideas back to the salon.”

What is your philosophy when it comes to client transformations, especially with techniques like balayage and surface painting?

“I approach every client’s hair with a commitment to creating a memorable experience. Each transformation is unique, and I’m always as invested in the result as my clients are. Whether it’s balayage or surface painting, it’s about tailoring the process to each individual.”

In what ways do you mentor and inspire your team at RAW Hair & Co. to foster a collaborative and creative environment?

“I mentor by example and by sharing the values that make us unique: focus on your craft, check your ego at the door, and understand that we move forward together. Collaboration and teamwork are non-negotiable, and I emphasize that growth comes when we push ourselves outside our comfort zones. Sustainability is also at the heart of our practices—we recycle everything we can to do our part for the planet.”

How do you ensure that RAW Hair & Co. remains ahead of industry trends and innovations while maintaining its unique artistic perspective?

“We keep our eyes open to the latest trends and techniques. I encourage my team to take pride in their craft while remaining curious and always learning. We discuss and implement new ideas regularly, but we stay true to our artistic vision.”

“Never stop learning and growing. Success comes when you put in the work and believe in yourself. Setting goals, both short-term and long-term, gives you direction. It’s not about the destination—it’s the journey that makes it all worthwhile.”
